What Wildaria is
Wildaria is a procedurally generated action-adventure RPG built around taming creatures. You lasso an animal, keep it, level it, ride it into a fight, and watch it use its own elemental ability while you swing a weapon beside it. The world does not stop at a handcrafted border either — biomes generate endlessly, so the map you open on day one is not the whole map.
It is made by SpaceFudge, a solo developer who has shipped Wildaria in public builds for about five years: pre-alpha snapshots, a closed alpha in July 2026, and now an Early Access launch on 8 October 2026. The pixel art nods to Game Boy Advance era adventures — Zelda, Sword of Mana, Pokemon Emerald — rendered with modern shaders so the grass and water actually move. The developer frames the premise as a struggle between civilization and nature, with a main quest that branches into different boss fights and allegiances.
What you actually do
- Tame and ride. Every creature is a companion candidate; taming runs on a lasso mini-game, and the bigger ones become mounts.
- Build a character from five species, then specialise through a skill tree and respec later.
- Fight with weapons, dashes and charged abilities against enemies that have elements of their own.
- Delve procedural dungeons for epic loot and the oversized Animal Gods at the bottom of them.
- Live in the villages — trade with villagers, take quests from camps and ruins, and wager coin on Trailsweeper.
How to use this site
Nothing here is a dump of numbers we cannot verify. The launch build is not out yet, so every page separates what the store page and the developer state outright from what alpha players reported, and marks the rest unconfirmed. Start with the beginner guide for the first-hours order of operations, the pet taming page if the lasso is what sold you on the game, or the release date page if you only want to know what ships on 8 October and where.
